Most profitable career path for CRE
Hey guys,
I was just wondering what you guys think is the most profitable career path for CRE.
I'm interning right now at a large brokerage firm; but, want to find out more information on the industry.

This is the most accurate response you'll get, OP. Some people absolutely crush it in brokerage while others can barley make a living in it. That same person may crush it in REPE while the guy next to him flounders and then moves to development and crushes it. Each has it's own unique personality types that thrive in that environment. Each path can make you more money than you can possibly spend, likewise each can provide a very comfortable living. In the same token you can close no deals/ get fired/ get pushed out and barley make ends meet if it really isn't for you.
Create a company that subleases real estate, but market it to investors as a tech company. Bonus points if you borrow against your inflated equity stake to purchase buildings and lease them back to said company. If all goes well exit opps are taking a billion dollar golden parachute to go fuck off on your yacht.
