Most Relevant CFA sections for IB
Hello everyone, was wondering what sections of CFA would be useful to study as it relates to IB? I am currently in credit risk and looking at taking the December exam while working and networking.
Thanks,
Mr, Rogers
Just took L1 last December - generally speaking, FRA & Corp Fin, but Equities and Fixed Income are also nice introductions (especially if you're looking at capital market oriented roles).
Truth be told though, there are tons of better resources for banking than trudging through CFA text. If you're in the mood to trudge through text, Investment Banking: Valuation, Leveraged Buyouts, and Mergers and Acquisitions by Pearl and Rosenbaum is a solid place to start. Taking the SIE early could be a good move too if you want to get another test out of the way.
Ah yeah I've read rosenbaum, was just going to take cfa because my work pays for it, learning, etc.
Equities, Accounting, Fixed Income, Derivatives.
