Networking DOES pay off
Allow me to introduce myself: May graduate with a 3.3gpa (3.6 major) from a top 10 public university but definitely not known for its business majors; internship at a well known law firm in the corporate and securities practice group.
Anyway, point of the story is through networking with various IBs and people, I just landed an interview with a decent sized firm.
Was there a point to this post? We all know networking works. Get someone high enough up to like you, and they can get you an interview.
Congrats on the interview. Better study up, getting an interview means nothing. Getting an offer means everything.
Remmeber your behavioral questions, from the 3 interviews I had thus far, they are all very heavy on the "why us, why ib, why you" kind of questions .... *MM banks

Yeah, I probably shouldn't have posted, but I was just pretty stoked. To be honest, I really didn't think it could work.

Networking has yet to pay off for me, but I'm going to keep at it. Good luck!
