Which city? What kind of job?

UBC Sauder has a a real estate division and York University started their MSREI program a few years back.

Industry associations sometimes have young professional groups - NAIOP, ULI are the two main ones. Check your alumni base, cross reference on LinkedIn.

I understood that part, I figured you would have 1st or 2nd degree connections with people here between those networks. If that's not working, trying attending some industry networking events (even virtual ones) and seeing what happens from there. What did you study in the USA? and at what school (this is important)?

Look on linkedin - filter by job types in CRE & location (GVA, GTA & GMA). Do you speak french?

You are right in your assumption that canadian companies frown upon a lack of canadian experience but i have some colleagues who have immigrated and after a year or so of grinding away in less "glamorous" CRE roles they were able to leverage their way into "glamorous" roles.
