If you are talking about Nippon Life's asset management arm, I interviewed with them before. I remember it was literally just one guy running the entire portfolio. I think it's the surplus capital that is not tied to the insurance liabilities (the assets that tied to insurance are of course bonds and less risk equities).
The PM seems pretty smart, had a few analysts working for him from some random places (one from Manning and Napier if I remember correctly).

Yes that is the company I am referring to. I can’t find much information on them.
Do you think it’s good experience? If someone of course focuses on corporate bonds.
