Non-Target --> BB IBD Analyst --> Activist Hedge Fund Analyst

http://www.businessinsider.com/wes-calvert-starboard-value-2014-9

Looks like the lead Analyst on the Darden situation at Starboard Value went to powerhouse banking target Cal Polytech State.

Goes to show you, it really doesn't matter where you go to school. This dude is crushing it.

Who wants to bet he uses WSO?

I'm a finance professor at Cal Poly, and have taught at Kellogg and Wharton. Wes Calvert was my student at Cal Poly for three different classes. The best students at Cal Poly compete VERY well against the students from Berkeley, Stanford, Wharton, etc. The school a bit of a sleeper (unknown) in terms of being on the radar of most investment banks - but those that do recruit here are very satisfied, and they keep coming back.
