Not so fast. A quick LinkedIn search yields a shocking number of laterals to EB/BB platforms. Most MF will hire directly out of the Northwestern Mutual program in Milwaukee. Would seriously consider if you have an offer there.

Run far far away. Their public/private investments groups are far better than their scam financial representive internships, but the culture is absolutely awful from when I interned there. Are you trying to go into banking and is this a FT or SA offer?

Met someone who interned at NWM & Tobin and somehow managed to land a very good BB group after that. He is now in MF PE. Obviously a huge exception.
Why is this the huge exception. Don't get me wrong the NWM internship is a huge scam, but compared to some of what kids are doing, it can be a decent option to get something on your resume.
I just thought that PLUS Tobin & Co. would look sus.
