But this is even worse for that guy. Feel bad for him much more now.
I've seen worse.
I've seen worse.
Wasn't this posted before?
Didn't someone already post that this was posted before??

Definitely feel bad for the guy. Dumb move, but not worthy of this kind of punishment. Nice enough of them to black out his name, I guess?
And this ("That semester I achieved a 3.93, and in the same time I managed to bench double my bodyweight and do 35 pull-ups") is actually pretty impressive if it's true.
I wonder if that was the guy who first sent it out or Yahoo Finance?
Yes already posted before. I like how Yahoo! Finance didn't catch the working with MS part on a letter for JPM though.
And the first guy to send it out was a BAML director oddly enough.
I found this to be rather lol-worthy.
give the kid a break. It has been a tough year and he wants to differentiate himself.
And then suddenly you realize...
FUCK, did I boast too much in my cover-letter... will I be next?
Dammit, won't be able to sleep tonight :(
I feel, really bad for him, the person who leaked this should be held responsible, as everyone on Wallstreet I would assume has his info since it got posted around..

The most surprising thing about all this is that someone at a BB actually read a cover letter.
Okay it is by no means the best cover letter I've ever seen, but honestly I think people are over reacting. Remove the body weights and the bragging about placing out of classes, and its a normal stupid cover letter. So it went from being a stupid cover letter to being slightly more than stupid. Whoever passed this around must be a huge asshole
Yahoo Finance. The email chain sent it around unedited. Everyone knows his name and has his full resume (with more than a couple grammar/formatting errors).
At least the kid has a sense of humor. Saw this on the Gawker article: When reached by phone yesterday, Mark was well aware of the furor surrounding his letter, and that he'd overplayed his hand. When asked if he'd gotten a job at J.P. Morgan, he laughed. "No, not at all. Didn't you see my letter?"
