One more year of high school or Bentley University?
So I'm in junior year in high school at a school which offers the International Baccalaureate at graduation, but I'm almost definitely going to move back to the US at the end of this year and I am unlikely to go to a school which offers that diploma. If I graduate this year I receive the high school diploma, which is the equivalent of the diploma you get graduating an American high school. However, since I had to apply to schools before I took my 2nd SAT, the only school I could get into was Bentley University with my 1350 SAT score, although I took it again after I got accepted and got a 1450. I want to end up working at a Wall Street job, so should I do one more year of American high school or go to Bentley and try to transfer to a better school later?
Hi lambiam2011, any of these threads helpful:
I hope those threads give you a bit more insight.
For me, it would be definitely Bentley University. No other option. I guess you may need to read a CareerEdge story by Bentley graduate Alexandria Steinmann and her experience in Entrepreneurial Studies and Finance (as a major). In addition, they have a list of 54 Companies That Hire Bentley Grads. Check that too. Or here's a narration about Emily Niditch - Networking Her Way to Wall Street.
In your case, The Second option is suitable for you and that's going to Bentley and transfer to better schools. I have gone through under this same scenario when I was at high school, I transferred all of my courses to Michigan school of business. Gladly, all the procedure went quite smooth.
yes yes sure. Its ok to start the education again or resuming it. People do it all the time. And education has no age limits ;)
