PE Recruiting in Europe

Hey all,

Started off in IBD at a top 5 BB in a strong coverage group (C&R/Industrials) . Due to some visa issues, was transferred to London. Currently a first year associate in IBD. I was wondering if PE recruiting in Europe is still possible for me? I know in the US it is viewed as pretty late. I also don't have proficiency in European languages which I heard is important.

Thanks for your input. I might be in a similar boat in a year due to visa concerns in the U.S. – would it be worth it reaching out to HHs proactively? Currently at a BB in NYC.

Also, long shot, but do you know anything about London funds' willingness to sponsor Tier 2 visas? I'm a resident in the EU (not citizen) so don't think I get any special treatment, but do speak 3 European languages

Hi,

I have already had introductory phone calls with HHs (eg. KEA, Blackwood, Dartmouth) who reached out. Next week, I will have some longer interviews with them and don't know what to expect. What will the interview focus on / what to prep for? Will technicals, deal rationale etc already be tested or is that more during interviews with investment professionals?
