it's a fucking negotiated contract that he signed and ML signed way before the government bailout. so now you want to throw away contract law and have our business run on zero trust? seriously, do you know what this guy gave up to go over to ML? do you know how much money he probably could have made doing something else? how about how much work he put into the BofA deal negotiation? maybe not $25mm worth, but it's after the fact.

 

It's a shitload. But nobody's going to get angry over that. It's not too bad. It's not like the reverse of east europe privitization bandits or anything.
