He posts in the off topic forum, which does not need to be about finance. That is why they call it off topic. He is good for WSO, which is comprised mostly of conservative people. Without him, this place would mostly be an echo chamber. If you want to start banning people, I would suggest we start with people who post anonymously as a way to hurl insults at others.

I disagree with banning anyone who isn't flat out breaking the law (posting illegal stuff) or being a nuisance to the mods by spam posting literal trash. Anyone who has seen my comment threads with Drumpfy knows I extremely dislike the guy. He's pathetic and a blatant liar who constantly spreads his weakly-supported leftist positions around like a toddler smearing their shit on the wall, whose only coherent thought seems to be that if he disagrees with you then you must be *insert 4chan/incel/alt-right*.
That said, there's no reason to ban him. If anything like Associate 2 IB-M&A says above, it's good for him to be here. You want idiots like him to share their ideas and political positions out in the open so they can be torn apart by people who actually know what they're talking about. That's the point of free speech and the strongest argument against censorship. It's a great opportunity for the many college students who peruse this site to see just how insufferable and ignorant many of the lefties who push their ideas on college campuses today are and how incoherent their thoughts are when they go up against the real world.
So no, don't ban Drumpfy. Let him speak freely as is his right on the Off Topic forum. It doesn't matter that he doesn't work in finance, he focuses on the Off Topic section so I don't feel that detail is important. But do continue to mock his lies/inconsistencies and ridicule him openly as it is also your right. Set an example for the up-and-coming youth in finance and just maybe we can nip this progressive foolishness in the bud one analyst at a time so none of us have to put up with it in the future.

As someone who has read quite a bit of Drumpfy and considers themselves to be to the left of them, I don't think Drumpfy needs to be banned, and I think it's honestly reprehensible to even bring it up in the first place. Often times, I think Drumpfy makes highly inaccurate statements, such as that over 1K FL seniors were passing each day from COVID-19, when FL has never had more than 300 TOTAL deaths in a single day.
On the Off-Topic forum, it generally plays out like this: Drumpfy makes a CNN/neoliberal post that touts the Democratic party in some way, but features some truths and certain poorly checked factual inaccuracies (like the Florida one). PrivateTechquity gives a principled Fox News style retort that deconstructs the most glaring falsehoods of Drumpfy's initial post and also adds in FLCCC ivermectin stuff for good measure (I consider FLCCC highly unscrupulous on the ivermectin issue because it overwhelmingly relies upon the initial, now-debunked study that showed 90% mortality reduction, which didn't even pass the smell test). I play mediator by affirming certain portions and debating against certain portions of either, while truly lying to the left of Drumpfy. That's the playbook. It happens every time.
There's bigger fish to fry, and shame on this suggestion in the first place. Drumpfy is a pot-stirrer who can be a blind idealogue at times, but that's hardly a reason to ban anybody. I could name a dozen more dangerous accounts on this site right now, but that's not my business.
