PE/VC ownership of a target company
How much does a PE/Venture capital firm own in a portfolio company and what usually determines this? How much equity does the PE/VC receive for investing in my company? And does this differ between PE and VC?
These are all so dependent on the situation that they're unanswerable. It's sort of like asking, "how much is a business worth?"

My company will be doing venture capital in the mining space. We are investing in people who poses mining and prospecting licenses so I am thinking of how much equity is standard to buy.
