Policy Vs Policing

So I am just having some thoughts about the current events, the markets and the political agendas of the trump, china and the other big league leaders. Are we really on the brink of a way? It seems to me that the war is just a proxy for the failed monetary policy efforts of the last decade. The 'recovery' has been fueled by humungus amounts of debt and money printing in an era when the greenback is your reserve currency. Had it been gold standard, would they still have been able to print some much money without facing significant devaluation of the currency?
It appears that now the big economies (China and US are in bed together) see that there is no choice and that a major system wide break down is imminent. In that light, the war is North Korea, the war in Syria is just another surrogate to detract the attention from the actual issue. For when there is a major war, the attention gets diverted and they have a perfect 'scapegoat' to blame their policy errors on. Let's say if it couldn't be fixed with policy, let policing be the way... In this example by policing the innocents in other countries and having them bear the brunt of the ineffective policies and the degradation of standard of life in the west
