PowerPoint Training

I see a lot of resources for Excel training out there such as WSP, TTS, AE, Damodaran just to name a few.

I understand new analysts are to be proficient in PowerPoint as much as in Excel given the fact that they will be spending good chunk of their time making marketing materials like pitch books.

So, I was wondering if there are any good PowerPoint resources out there that are specifically geared to IB training?

Thanks.

To be honest, there really isn't much more in a pitchbook besides bullet points, tables, and charts. Most of the banks have their own PPT add ons to help you format it all, so there really isn't much use in trying to practice w/o having the software. It's easy to pick up on though, so really don't worry about it.

Just brush up on your accounting and learn the financial statements.

From my experience (and this is for consulting), you mainly learn on the job. Many firms have their own style and use templates anyways. Additionally, many firms have their own ppt add-ons that make life easier (eg. formatting) than normal anyways.

It's great that you want to get a head start, but most of it will come from on the job experience (and repetition).

A very cheap and easy way to start practicing is by finding a good presentation online and trying to replicate it exactly as is. (Just google presentations created by analysts from one the top banks) This will familiarize you with the different tools and you will become much faster.
