Your GPA is bit below average, but well within the interquartile range for the programs you listed. I'm not exactly sure how GRE scores are interpreted, but obviously a Q-99% is outstanding. I've heard GRE instead of GMAT raises questions about what a candidate really wants to do, but you have a rock-solid reason (MSE) for having taken it. If the work experience includes promotions or otherwise clearly demonstrates a record of success, you're off to a great start.

I'd consider taking the GMAT anyways. The only downside seems to be about $200.

Verbal is somewhat concerning. AWA, not as much. I had a 37%ile on the GMAT's AWA (with very high V and Q) and I don't think it hurt me at all.

Study hard and take a shot at the GMAT. It can't hurt.

I've read/heard that because it's widely known that b-schools prefer GMAT, some places don't like it if you haven't taken it as it almost seems like you don't care enough about what they want to put in the effort.

Here are my stats:
B.S.E (gpa: 3.45) & M.S.E (gpa: 3.5) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from top 5 US program (different school for bs and ms)

3+ years in one High Tech Company (e.g. google, microsoft, apple)
GRE: V 156/170 (70% omg), Q 170/170 (98%? 99%?) AWA 4/6 (54%)

I did not take GMAT but GRE. I took GRE to apply engineering grad school...

Not sure if I need to take GMAT thou...

I know there are many other factors to be considered for admission but watever for now...

Could you please provide any opinion on my profile for admission to these schools?

I have an almost identical set of numbers and educational background as you do, except I'm in consulting. I'm going to one of the schools you listed this fall.

Perfect Q score might not be 99% percentile, it was more like 94% when I took my GRE. I don't think AWA scores matter much (if at all). I think your experience in a high tech company will prove to be very helpful. I agree with Betsy that you shouldn't worry about GMAT, unless you have lots of time on hand.

oh and I'm not sure about IB but MC recruiters care very much about your test score. It needs to be visible on your resume.

326 on GRE with 170 in the quants sections is a good score. As far as the low verbal score is considered, if you can write amazing essays, the low score will not be an issue. Retaking GRE is a good option but if you plan to apply in R1, you need to start researching on your essays. If your work experience at the high-tech company has some involvement in leadership roles, you stand a good chance at your target schools.
