This is not very straight-forward unfortunately. We conducted numerous and very long discussions with initial and prospective users to understand their view on what we offer. From the idea inception, the end product had undergone significant changes, based on their feedback.

To give you an example, many of our users where not entirely confident to select their own investments, so they were asking for pre-designed solution. This led us to create ready portfolios for them to invest in.

But to answer your question, it was a combination of user interviews with market research and of course rational extrapolation.

That's a good question. The product was built internally, as the founding team had strong background in Computer Engineering, so almost 0 external costs. What was the actual cost was the cost of living, which depends on the individual, but the MVP took about 3-4 months.

Obviously, almost every product (ours included) is under continuous addition of features, so the development process is on-going everyday.
