Quantitative Finance Undergraduate Major

What kind of jobs can one pursue right after graduating with a bachelor's degree in quantitative finance?

Is this a rigorous major and would it assist someone into eventually obtaining a HF job?

Any helpful replies would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Hey there BigMac, I had a similar thread back then about Quantitative Finance; have a look at the monkeys' insights https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/dilemma-quantitative-finance-vs-…

Rigorous major- Depends on your courses. Mine has plenty of mathematics and a bit of computer science, so arguably it's "rigorous" by Business school standards, but still a notch below hardcore sciences (maths, physics). Give us more info about your courses.

The quantitative finance undergraduate schools that I am looking at are Stevens Institute of Technology, James Madison University and University of California at Santa Barbara. Carnegie Mellon is also on my radar but gradeswise this school will be a reach for me to get into. There do not seem to be a lot of schools that offer quantitative finance as a major at the undergraduate level.
