Question about FT

I've been working as an off-cycle intern at a strong boutique for a few months and have been really enjoying the work. I have an offer for FT at another bank, but I'm interested in staying on at the boutique. I have a few weeks to accept the offer at the other bank, but I haven't heard anything about FT at the boutique. I was told when I started that there was an opportunity to stay on and I've been getting good reviews. Would it be harmful to my chances to ask about an offer? Also, what would the best approach be to asking? Any advice would be appreciated.
