Recruiting at bank with 0 alumni

Reading over a bunch of the SA threads from 2020, I noticed at a lot of the BB's the recruiting funnels through the, even the few of them from a nontarget, alumni at the firm. How does it work when there are literally 0 alumni at the bank? My NT has a decent presence across the street but at a couple BB's we currently have nobody ( have in the past but they've exited). How is your application handled at these banks?

Every bank has a team that deals with "non-targets", this group typically is forced to handle these applications, and doesn't really care about the students they let in, it's extremely tough to break in through channels like this, and it is recommended that you make some kind of connection with a current employee at the firm-anything to stand out. These teams are essentially the black holes because they see hundreds of resumes with many of the analysts and associates having very little care as to what happens to them.

**i mean at least try to get your foot in the door by shooting a few emails to analysts (like 2 sentences requesting for a call). If you hear nothing then just know that it's gonna be handled just like any another application that comes through without networking (i.e. if it's an EB or top MM there is a small chance you have a shot but at a BB it's much more unlikely). Good luck. **
