Request for Proposal:

Hello, so I've been a senior sonsultant for about 4 months (don't let the title fool you, I only have 5 months total work experience, not including a years worth of internships)....and for some reason my boss thought that I should handle this RFP from start to finish and work on the pitch to win the account. She probably did this because she's too important for the engagement (it would only bring in about 150K). Anyway, my question is: where can I find some decent templates for how to structure this proposal. I have pretty much until tomorrow afternoon to write the first draft of this document and I'm starting to flip out. lol.

You are not going to find these floating around online randomly as RFP responses are tied to your firms assets and expertise. Either ask your boss to give you some sample proposal for same type of project or ask around your network to locate a few. Once you have 3-4, read through them. You will find that most are pretty much the same. Take the best/relevant parts and create the 'customized' solution for potential client.

Just find any proposal within the firm that looks at something similar. Most have a 'template' that you can use like what your firm can do, what goes where, etc. Then in the core section where you are trying to suggest your work approach/solution, just freestyle. If you have some basic idea about the problem, it's not hard to come up with something high level. I'll be freestyling one tomorrow myself (for same size deal hah). But I have some good material I can use.

Have you noticed how complacent the higher ups are about any project under 500K? I feel like there's a lot more money that could be made if they gave a shit about these smaller engagements too, rather than letting me screw it up. lol
