So the question is, has work been slow for you these recent few months? (I'm a sales trader and have been having a hard time looking busy especially with the low volatility market environment.) And if so, what are you doing to keep busy or at-least look busy?

Dude no volatility what so ever (Credit Desk over here). Best of luck if you trade for retail, rates are shit and spreads are so tight you have to finance deals at such cheap rates that retail doesn’t want it. Most desks are down at least 20% this year.
What are you doing while on your desk to look busy?
Honestly, I do market research and commentary to keep me busy. I also talk to a lot of other traders/capital markets guys to try and get them on my syndicate so I can do more deals. It’s been tough though, I’m usually bored by 4.
