Sophomore vs Junior BB hours
I’m wondering whether hours differ for sophomore vs junior interns at bulge brackets? I’ve heard anywhere from 60-90 hours weekly is typical, but is this lower for sophomores? Thanks

at my BB we sort of smoosh everyone together. They have some separate programs, but they do most of the same stuff. Hours are kinda the same, though now everyone is hyperaware about making sure interns don't get overworked so there are all sorts of rules.
Thanks for the reply, this is helpful! What kinds of rules? I’ve heard about protected Saturday’s, but I’ve also heard that interns still work on Saturdays even with this rule— is it true?
It is sort of group dependent. Some banks say analysts can't come into the office on the weekends etc. With WFH, things are different. Some banks don't even involve the interns in workflow (due to WFH) and just give them a project to evaluate their skills.
Why would intern hours be protected more than analyst hours ? Kind of crazy, would think interns would have to prove themselves and also are like less efficient to should naturally work more. Would be strange if analysts stayed until 3am but interns left at 10
