SS ER Associate interview with the Analyst

Hi guys, I have an interview this week (on Tuesday) with the analyst, who I think is also the director of research on the sell side with a large organization. Any idea what to expect/what to be prepared for? He's one of the top in the sector that he covers. He's aware that I don't have experience in this sector at all. Thanks for any help!!

Hi! It went very well. I had round three after that. I have final rounds once I’m back from a vacay. No not that one, not in Toronto. Are you trying for that one? I did see that..

Oh congrats and good luck! Unfortunately, you might be able to help me more than I can help you :/. My interview with the Head of ER is next Tuesday. I plan on being ready for anything fit/technical because I don’t really know what to expect. From everyone I’ve consulted, they think it will be pretty much just fit but some tech can get thrown in there, however it depends on his/her’s personality. But it doesn’t hurt to overprepare so that’s my plan...

Definitely be prepared for the “why ER” type questions. It should be quite similar to round 1 vetting.

Good luck. I’d appreciate any insight once you have yours!!

met with the head of ER - very informal - he started by grilling me on my resume - asked me if i could build this insane model and asked how long it would take me to build it. Then asked me abt my investing philosophy and how I would explain it to someone who doesn't know investing. Asked my about my stock - talked about that for awhile. He opened it up on Bloomberg and was grilling me abt FCF, revenue, etc. He then asked why i think its undervalued why i used multiples instead of DCF. It was pretty intense but nothing like the questions I was expecting based on this site

Wow. How do you feel about it? That’s def diff than the norm I’ve been seeing online too. Mine is supposed to be 20-30 mins via Skype so I can’t see it being that way but I guess you never know. Thanks for telling me about your experience. I hope you make it to the next round. Will let you know about mine next week for comparison.
