Starting my education before university
Hi,
I'm looking to go into the finance/economics field (not sure which exactly right now) and I'd like to start getting into the field and reading some stuff now, instead of waiting on university to learn stuff.
Are there any books that would be good to start reading as a kind of introduction to the field before I could start getting deepers into some subjects. I'm really unsure of what exactly I want to study in finance but if I could start learning now maybe some things would attract me more than others.
Thank you guys!
When I was in high school I took summer session at UConn which has a good econ department, many schools will let you take summer courses for credit. I would read Adam Smith's The Wealth of Nations, George Borjas' Labor Economics, the Barron series the one on accounting and the one on finance. MIT offers open courseware, where it provides courses online.
