Strategic & Acquisition Finance?

Is an internship in Strategic & Acquisition Finance a good thing to do before an m&a one? Knowing that at the moment, i probably won't find any in m&a (non target school).

What about the lifestyle in acquisition finance? The comp for analyts compared to ECM/DCM & M&A? and the exit ops? thx

Acquisition finance is the new name for Leveraged Finance groups during the down turn because it gave them breadth / scope to look at more than just lev. loans / hy sht - they can look at all kinds of structuring stuff

But depending on bank its pretty much their lev fin group

STOP FCKING ASKING ABOUT EXIT OPS - its really annoying to ask about what happens after a job you don't have yet / have not started yet. I get doing your research but if your decision making calculus is based on that, then you shouldn't be going to work in that group to begin with
