Struggling through consulting internship - is there hope for a return offer?

My sister is interning for one of the prominent consulting firms in their healthcare division, and I'm concerned that she is not doing well based on some of the feedback I've overheard her getting on her calls with her "coach", and I was wondering if there is any hope for her getting a return offer. She has 7 weeks left to make a turn around.

She's working on a project right now, and I heard her coach tell her that she's not where she should be in order to have a final product by the end of the week. Her coach further said that my sister is having a disconnect with some aspects of the project, and walked my sister through what sounded like a client's checklist, or something of that nature, which, to me, sounded like something simple that my sister should have been able to figure out on her own. At one point, I think my sister was editing her presentation as she was walking through questions for feedback and her coach said she shouldn't do that and instead ask more pointed questions. It also sounded like my sister forgot to send another person a link to join their meeting, and my sister told me she was once late to a previous meeting - which, to me, appears that she is unprepared. I also know that my sister has been having a ton of technical difficulties, which her coach knows, but I'm not sure if they would take that into consideration.

My sister has discussed with me that she seems to not work well with her coach, but has been working great with everyone else she's interacting with. She typically has always performed really well, so I'm not sure why she's struggling, but is it too late for her to get a return offer? Or, if she shows progress, is there still a strong chance she can get a return offer?
