Taking day off in Summer internship for Graduation ceremony

So I am a final student now and I have been fortunate enough to get a place in an investment banking summer internship role at one of the large US investment banks. I am super keen to convert immediately and talking to Associates, VP's and my hiring manager that is a possibility. However, around 3 or 4 weeks into my internship, I am due to have my graduation ceremony and my university has it scheduled for a weekday (Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday - this hasn't yet been formalised which day). I personally wouldn't be too bothered about attending but it's more a thing for my parents as I am the first in my family to attend university so it's a big deal for them. I would only be booking a single day off and I think it's for a fair reason, however, I don't want to take any chances.

Has anyone faced a similar problem? Do you think it will play any role in them hiring me?

Thanks in advance.

Just let them know you have to be out that day for your graduation. Shouldn't be a problem. You need to go to that for your family.
