Tell me about the markets interview question. PLEASE HELP!

When asked this question, what are you supposed to say? Should you talk about. the volatility, or go into projections for the next few months, etc.

I have a hard time giving a concrete answer right now due to covid and the overall uncertainty in the market. How would you answer this question?

It's meant to be broad. You can talk about whatever honestly, as long as you have an informed view about it and would be able to answer follow-up questions about it. Not sure the context of this question, but I did several S&T SA interviews during UG and it was a really open question

Cmon dude. Its a market outlook pitch. Follow the markets for a couple of weeks. Have a detailed undestanding of different relationships and how each affects each other. Volatility vs. rates. vs. covid-19 etc. Quickly recap what happned in the previous week, what is happening today, and what is your opinion in the long term in like a year. We saw the drop, now we see the rebound. Do you think it sustains? Are you a bull or a bear? What's your favorite indicator to follow to tell you the health of the markets?

  1. Extreme Volatility
  2. Economic Contraction / Expansion
  3. Fiscal Policies (Central bank and Rates)
  4. Inflation and CPI
  5. Unemployment Reports
  6. GDP Indicators
  7. RECESSION? DEPRESSION? BOOMING ECONOMY?

Understand the markets, breathe the markets, pitch the markets
