The Bancorp - Real Estate Investment Banking Analyst (posting was found on LinkedIn Jobs)
This is a real estate investment banking position. The successful candidate will play a central role in all aspects of executing live CMBS transactions and developing strategic dialog with clients. The Analyst's responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Build and maintain financial models to perform analyses under different operating scenarios
Perform full valuation, DSCR and Debt Yield analyses on real estate collateral nationwide
Participate in day-to-day deal execution, securitization needs, interacting with senior deal team members, client management teams, transaction counterparties and other advisors
Manage due diligence processes, including preparing virtual data rooms, tracking and coordinating the information flow, and reviewing and analyzing company, sponsor, and market information
Order and review third parties - appraisal, environmental, engineering, zoning, insurance, title, legal
Prepare asset summary reports, responses to b piece buyers, rating agency queries, credit committee presentations
Monitor and evaluate current events related to CMBS and real estate markets nationwide
Skills:
The successful candidate will possess or demonstrate the following personal and professional attributes:
Bachelors degree from a leading university
0-3 years of experience in financial modeling, real estate, or investment banking
Very strong financial modeling/valuation and analytical skills
Knowledge of the CMBS industry, as well as basic understanding of legal and tax aspects related to real estate transactions
Experience analyzing company financials in relation to single tenant transactions
Ability to comfortably interact with clients in a professional and mature manner
Outstanding ethics, integrity and judgment
Intellectual curiosity, strong work ethic and desire to learn
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects with different deal teams
Highly organized, detail oriented and proactive
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with specific ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely and defend their validity
Ability to conduct thorough, independent research
Excellent technology skills with superior Excel and PowerPoint skills and ability to quickly learn new software applications
English as a first language
