Thoughts on Renege?
So I just recently accepted a position at a BB in their FLDP. However, I was recently offered a finance position that was much more interesting to me at a tech company just a few days after already signing the offer to the FLDP. Would it be a big mistake to renege on the BB FLDP at this point? The total compensation is a little different in that the FLDP is roughly 20k less than the tech company role but the FLDP is in an LCOL area while the tech company is in an HCOL? Any insight or opinions are greatly appreciated!

I don’t see an issue with you reneging on the offer. If you’re more interested in the work and opportunity provided by the tech job, you should do what’s best for your personally and professionally. The bank will probably easily be able to backfill your position with someone on the waitlist.
