Top A&D groups
Hey guys, prospective intern here interested in Aerospace & Defense IB. Wanted to ask if anyone had any knowledge on which banks are generally considered top in the A&D space.

Career Resources
Not sure on specifics, but I do know that Lazard LA is well known for A&D and PJT is on almost every satellite-related deal.
Other than that I would guess BBs lead the pack given the high cost of operations in A&D coupled with mostly old firms with long lending relationships.

Jefferies has been on some higher profile deals the last few years. Especially in lev loan/HY space. Pretty sure they closed their DC office recently tho.
Not sure about closing the DC office. Have seen tons of job postings for there recently
They have a decent sized A&D group in Charlotte that does well
Seabury Capital is an industry-specific boutique that is quite strong in A&D but can be a sweatshop from what I heard.
On the Raytheon - United Technologies merger last year Citi advised Raytheon and Morgan Stanley, Evercore and Goldman advised United Technologies.
I don't know if they have specific groups for A&D but I would imagine that they have some A&D MDs in their industrials groups, because most A&D businesses are quite similar to general industrials companies.
Citi’s industrials group is divided into three sub verticals. Basic materials, transportation, diversified industrials.
A&D is housed in diversified industrials and have A&D specific MDs.
