Top Firms in Investment Real Estate?

I'm starting to compile a list of the top investment/private equity real estate firms in the country to hopefully get a solid internship next summer. I have had a banking and now a commercial real estate internship and have decided a hybrid of both would be ideal for me. I'm looking for other firms on the level of Blackstone and would love to hear some other top firms that have intern programs in place.

Thanks in advance.

This is a good list thou not all funds listed here are REPE. Many are real estate investment firms that invest in core properties, e.g. Prudential, Capitalland, Invesco etc. as opposed to the more speculative/distressed or early stage type of plays that REPEs focus on.

To the OP, depending on how wide a net you want to cast, you might also want to look into REITs. Here is a comprehensive directory of these:

Just hit up Blackstone man. I think you'll get it.

Email Jon Gray. He is a nice guy and might be willing to help you out if you have got something to offer. Granted Jon is a lot busier now than when I first met him, since he is sitting on the board of directors at BX and the Management and Executive Committees, in addition to being head of global RE.

This is how someone can get his mailbox exploded in a couple of hours. Oh would u mind posting his email here to expedite the process? How about cell phone no.? :)

It is easy to figure out his email if you know what BX general format is like (there are actually two, his is the older one). I won't be too worried about this inbox exploding thou as his assistant screens all his emails anyway.
