Next Coast Ventures raised a large first fund, started by a former AV partner.

SLK Venture Capital is a fund founded by the former Pine River CIO, and their board members are really well connected (Andy Roddick, Walrer Robb, etc). Just raised first fund.

ESW Capital is a family office with a buyout mandate, pretty big. They have a spin-off fund that just started called Think3 with $1B AUM for software buyout where they then give the bought out founder seed capital to go start another company.

Stafford is a big fund with a lot of offices. Their Austin office focuses heavily on early stage stuff and timberland investing.

Vista, Peak Rock and CenterGate are the MM shops that are well known.

Vista has obviously done very well under Smith and is well thought of in software and tech.

Not as certain on Peak Rock performance as they have a reputation for being value buyers and have struggled to offload some of their investments recently due to ludicrous valuation expectations. RCR was a good outcome and Highline Mushroom was a great one. Peak Rock also sucks from a cultural standpoint (lots of turnover, unlikable people IMO).

Don't know as much about CenterGate other than they are struggling to buy in this market.
