Kind of a broad question - What are the largest sources of investment dollars and what is the total value of investable securities? Some quick googling came up with total worldwide equities market cap ~$52 trillion, pensions having ~$15 trillion total assets (not just equities) and insurance companies having ~$5 trillion. Anyone have this information or can point me in a good direction to source this information? Just US would be interesting too.
Thanks

Total investable wealth is $164 trillion according to BCG wealth survey 2015. By my estimates just bit more 60% of that is invested by pension funds, insurance companies and mutual funds. For more info google is a really good friend.
Credit Suisse also has good numbers on this.
Federal Reserve has a statistical release, Financial accounts of the United States. That could be helpful:
http://www.federalreserve.gov/Releases/z1/current/default.htm
That will give you some breakdowns regarding assets and some different entity types.
