Transition from Mortgage lending to I-Banking
I am currently a college freshman actively searching for internships to help build my resume to get into the Investment Banking field. I have been trying to find places that offer internships and trying to contact many people but it is hard for a bank to accept a undergrad freshman. I was thinking about contacting some people locally who work in mortgage lending and interning for free because I don't care about the money, I just want some experience on my belt. How well can I transfer a mortgage lending internship to a investment banking internship later on? Will this route be helpful and make my resume stronger or will I be wasting my time?
