Transition from Private Equity Real Estate (REPE) Acquisitions/Asset Management to Real Estate Investment Banking (REIB)

I know a lot of people who work in Real Estate Investment Banking make the transition into an acquisitions role at a REIT or REPE type firm very easily and smoothly....However, I am curious, how likely and difficult would it be from doing the opposite (REPE ---> REIB). I am on the younger side, low/mid 20s, and have been doing acquisitions work at a REPE with north of $9B AUM. Is it possible to make the transition into a REIB analyst role??? And yes I understand work load, skillset, etc etc are a much higher level in most cases at a REIB.

Curious if anyone has made the transition??? Or if they believe that it ever even happens.....
