Updated Best Groups at Barclays
Was wondering what the best coverage groups at Barclays are. I'm a bit familiar with the bigger groups (Healthcare, Consumer), but more looking for info on the smaller groups across the bank.

Career Resources
I think their P&U and NatRes groups are pretty good - from Lehman directly
Dude if you're gonna be that annoying just don't post at all.
Natural Resources / Power are known as best on street, Sponsors is a good group from what I've heard as well... then again I have no experience, just an undergraduate but that's what I've heard.
Industrials anecdotally
Fig is solid
Natural Resources and P&O are the best on the street. FSG is one of the best sponsors groups on the street as well. HC and Consumer are decent. Can't really go wrong with a Barclays coverage group.
From my firends who work there, as long as you're in a coverage group, you'll be set. Traditionally strong Power and Utilities and Natural Resources groups from Lehman days.
Barclays is really solid across the board, not really any weak spots in terms of PE placement or culture except for possibly tech.
All the coverage teams do their own M&A modeling which is obviously an enormous plus.
NatRes, Healthcare, Consumer Retail, and P&U are the bank's marquee groups. P&U was merged into Industrials during summer 2019 so I don't know how their recruiting operates.
Does Barclays not have an M&A group in the US then? Asking because it does in the UK I believe.
GS/Barclays are the BB without M&A groups in the US
There is a M&A group in the US. It's aligned to the coverage teams.
no there is not unless you are talking about exclusive sales
I meant that they're aligned to the coverage group as in there are Nat Res M&A analysts, TMT M&A analysts, etc...there is also the Exclusive Sales M&A group.
Can someone shed some light on Barclays LevFin London- culture, size, deal making or similar? Much appreciated!
Thoughts on FIG these days in terms of PE exits and culture? Industrials as well?
