Vote every Republican out

Blame every problem here on China but praise Xi Jinping on COVID, Hong Kong, Xinjiang

Create a tax cut only for the rich, paid for by the deficit, that raises taxes on the majority of Americans especially you guys in HCOL areas

Suddenly start caring about the deficit when the dems want to strengthen US infrastructure, healthcare, education

Try to end democracy in the US by refusing to accept the results of a blowout election

Try to blow up the debt ceiling and put millions out of jobs just to own the libs

Prevent the manufacturers of opioids from facing any consequences even though tons of rural people are overdosing

Start endless wars.  Almost start a nuclear one over Twitter.  Do whatever the arms manufacturers say.

Pollute our land, sea, air, ruin the world for our kids just so their donors can make a quick buck

Spread misinformation leading to the mass die offs of their base from COVID by staying unvaccinated

Listen guys, I know it may be culturally hard for a lot of us to support democrats, because of the identity politics that have seeped into the political divide, but republicans haven’t had a constructive idea for a long time .

Funniest

and then I called him a liberal, everyone laughed and we had a good time.

The end.

Never discuss with idiots, first they drag you at their level, then they beat you with experience.

I was going to respond but I agree with financeabc here. Arguing 10 different topics at once (which is what you presented) is unreasonable and quite frankly nobody has the time to draw out a well thought response to 10 different topics at once except for the basement dwellers.

The pattern of gross disregard for this country by the Republican party is evident in sending their voters to the graves over COVID misinfo, it's evident in threatening nuclear war over twitter, it's evident in letting the Sacklers poison their voters, it's evident in the debt ceiling.  It's all really the same in the end.

full disclosure: I'm a registered independent who votes both R & D in every election, I'm not a GOP apologist, I think both parties have dumb voters and corrupt greedy politicians who are just whores for votes, I just hate illogical and baseless arguments...and I have time today

I'm confused. how can you be pro-democracy yet want single party control (the logical result if every republican was voted out)?

you said in another thread how your fiancee's family is Russian, and yet you still want single party control?

in what universe has that ever been a good idea?

also, gonna need to see some proof

1. where did you see the GOP come out in support of Xi Jinping on Covid? Also, in what universe is complaining about Chinese abuses of the WTO rules anathema to supporting the independence of HK or the basic human rights being denied in Xinjiang? I didn't think it was illogical to dislike concentration camps and also call foul on things like IP theft, but if I've missed something, tell me.

2. actually the proper measurement would be % of income saved rather than aggregate dollars. despite the fact I think a tax cut during an expansion is retarded, you're measuring the wrong thing (relative > absolute) (EDIT: removed part about standard deduction, results seem very mixed and want to be as honest as possible)

3. neither party cares about the deficit, I don't see your point here

4. trying to end democracy? john lewis voted against the results of the 2004 election when W beat Kerry, in addition to 31 other congresspeople. was he trying to end democracy then? I'm not saying I disagree that it's disgusting, but to claim that this is GOP only is untrue. source: https://clerk.house.gov/evs/2005/roll007.xml

5. trying to blow up debt ceiling, same as #3, this game has been played for years and neither party cares about deficits, don't see the point and would like to see your data backing up your quote "put millions out of jobs just to own the libs"

6. pretty sure they just had to pay $4.5 billion, and opioid deaths doubled from bush to Obama and then again from Obama to Trump with an actual decrease from 2017-2018 per Nat'l Institute on Drug Abuse. not saying the situation isn't serious, I just fail to see this as a partisan issue

7. pretty sure democrats gave the order to invade Vietnam and LBJ the progressive saint increased american troops well beyond anything afghanistan saw. both parties have war pigs, so not sure how this is a partisan issue. also don't forget that Biden voted to invade Iraq and Afghanistan (along with 76 other senators for Iraq and 97 other senators for Afghanistan), and please don't forget about the mess Biden left in Kabul. finally, would like some data on "do whatever the arms manufacturers say" and some proof that it's a uniquely GOP position to be a war pig

8. proof required. domestic O&G production was declining under W but rose under obama and continued rising under trump. that, plus fracking has been around at least since LBJ so hard to say this is a partisan issue, but rather a crony capitalist issue, of which both parties are guilty

9. what republican representatives in congress have been spreading misinformation? what misinformation have they been saying? and how have those led to mass die offs of their base? or, more accurately, is it people that lean GOP spreading information and the representatives in office are just anti-lockdown, anti-mandate, and anti-vaccine passport? finally, trump is vaccinated, all 50 governors are, nearly 100% of congress is, and mitch mcconnell is apparently trying to counteract misinformation, so what about that says that the GOP as an organization is spreading misinformation? https://www.reuters.com/world/us/mcconnell-strives-counter-bad-advice-b…

10. support for an idea must stand on the merits of said idea, and "I don't think the other side has had a good idea in a long time so you shouldn't vote for them" is not such a merit. also, gonna need you to define "a long time" because I'm pretty sure operation warp speed to get the vaccines to market was a trump initiative.

I'm happy to debate you, but you have to bring more to the table in terms of facts

EDIT: forgot to tag you [Drumpfy]

you must be new here, I'm afraid [Drumpfy] is an expert at riling people up, yet threads like this make me question his logic in some areas

would be curious to hear about your experiences as a Russian. what sort of things did your parents/grandparents tell you about the soviet union that altered your views? or, was it things you found out on your own? what things do americans get wrong about socialism/centralized power that you wish they knew? I say this as someone whose family has been here for 3-400 years so I have no experience with that sort of regime

I had time yesterday my guy, I had time

I doubt I'll spend that much time replying to him again, because his avoidance of a rebuttal to my reply (which as far as I can tell contains no personal attacks/slander) is very telling

also, I am a strident defender of logic, rhetoric, and debate. there are young kids on here who hear half baked takes all of the time and if I have the opportunity to just insert a little bit of logic (even if my conclusion ends up being incorrect) I hope it helps someone in formulating their own opinions. my belief is that [Drumpfy] most certainly cares like many young people, but care does not permit carelessness

It doesn't mean I support a one-party state.  Tons of Republicans got voted out after the great depression and Nixon's impeachment, and guess what that meant?  New Republican candidates had to support government action to escape economic crisis and not support a corrupt sleazeball.  If they get voted out, then they'll learn, at least ideally.  Or, they'll double down on the misinformation.  Who knows.

1. Trump praised Xi in regards to COVID many times on Twitter (15 times!).  Trump also avoided bringing up Chinese human rights abuses because he wanted to get Xi to sign a trade deal, which failed.  And two different members of Trump's cabinet claim he even supports what's going on in Xinjiang!

https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-china-detention-camp-xinjiang-202…

2. The largest percentage and actual savings were from the richest people

3. Yes, but I'd rather increase the deficit for education/infrastructure spending that leads to better productivity in the long run then making Bezos pay no taxes

4. Yes, there are some Democrats who are delusional about Russia but most (80%) of Republicans believe in the Big Lie (that Trump won).  Trump has still not conceded defeat, something unprecedented.  That's how we lose democracy in this country.

https://www.cnn.com/2021/09/15/politics/big-lie-republican-belief-trump…

5. A deal has been reached so this may be outdated, but Moodys has said 6 million jobs would be lost

https://www.cnn.com/2021/09/22/business/us-default-job-loss-prediction/…

6. Republicans in congress are the ones fighting to stop the Sacklers from facing legal action, and also get most of their political donations.  Not a coincidence if you ask me.  https://www.medpagetoday.com/publichealthpolicy/opioids/93014

7. Yes, there are some Democrats who support increased militarism but this is mostly a Republican party issue.

8. The oil and gas boost during Obama's tenure is mostly due to technological innovation as opposed to partisan politics, but it's clear which side the oil industry supports

9. Look at Tucker Carlson's show.  Pretty much every time he makes up lies about how many people are killed from vaccine side-effects.  Most of the most potent propaganda, I admit, is from facebook nobodies, but Republicans are overwhelmingly gobbling it up.

10. If only the Republican party would give Trump credit for the best thing he did during the pandemic!

1. Trump is not every republican, so while you are correct, your presumption that because Trump said something with which you disagree therefore we should vote out every republican is still illogical. Trump has been voted out

2. my mistake, I stand corrected, though I would like to see some data

4. your logic does not hold, your claim was that not certifying the election results is trying to end democracy, therefore vote out the party that did that. you must be logically consistent, not hold a view when convenient to your personal beliefs.

6. paywall on that article. they already paid $4.5 billion, they have faced legal action. whether or not the legal action is sufficient in our view (I would argue it's not) is not what you said. and while we're on this topic, if your point is that republicans are not willing to punish bad corporate actors, I would say that's true, but it's also true for democrats. obama had complete control of government in 2010 and zero wall street crooks went to jail

7. proof required. you cannot make statements like this without proof and expect to be taken seriously.

8. proof required, again you're making a claim without a logical progression.

9. tucker carlson is not a member of congress, therefore this is contrary to your original suggestion to vote every republican out.

10. no disagreement
