"Well-Educated" NYU chick on Metro-North making an ass of herself
For all of you NYU folks, I hope you're* a little more polite than her.
And just for the lulz, a cached version of her LinkedIn:

*Sorry if repost
Someone embed, i'm an idiot, I tried and can't figure it out. Thanks.

I hope you're a little more polite than she is/was
Thanks for embedding the video and catching my typo. I was in a food coma when I posted it haha
shes hot, but she has a horrible name Hermon? come on! Thats like meeting a hot girl with the name Helga or Bertha.
Well she says she is all about renewable energy, that explains it right there.
annoying people who think they are entitled because they went to xyz school or xyz place urgh
although i will agree her privatec onvo and all that but yeah lol
What do you wanna bet she's having a rough day over at BNP Paribas after getting the Dealbreaker treatment yesterday?
almost like Hermione.
haha she has a twitter, HermesR211 she also posted on this website under that name, pretty funny stuff. She sounds like an entitled rich kid.
Read my mind. Wow, she lost her job. Crazy world with all these gadgets.
where'd the youtube link come from, the original was taken down by the cameraman.
LOL @ her linkedin:
"Excellent management and communication skills..."
"Highly proficient professional with a passion for pushing limits on expectations"
It got passed to me through an email.
nice, i hope it stays up. i dont have much sympathy for this girl
the jpm intern kid on the other hand, i do feel bad for.
People can overreact in certain situations. Not trying to defend her, but making a character judgment over just one incident is not ideal. Still, I do think what she did was very stupid and classless.
Alexpasch,
You're much more forgiving than me, but I will definitely make a character judgement. No [normal] person just lashes out at a complete stranger (who in this situation was just doing her job) unless they think they are superior to everyone else.
In short: she definitely seems like a crazy bitch.
I'm not forgiving her or excusing what she did. Everyone has at least one incident that shows them in an unfavorable light...
Definitely true. Though, I doubt most people do something this bad. I actually cringed a little while watching it.
I don't know. I feel like how you act toward "the help" when nobody is watching is pretty indicative of true character traits.
She's probably just having an identity crisis.
honestly.....
we didn't see what happend before the video that got her so upset. haven't we all gotten pissed off in public before?
a few years ago i was at Wendy's. i ordered my meal and waited patiently for 20 minutes for it to arrive. when i still didn't get it, i very politely asked the Wendy's employee about the progress of my food, and he told me that he already gave it to me. whatever... honest mistake. still politely, i informed him that he was mistaking and that i had been waiting for over 20 minutes for my food. he said he'd give me food, but that "stealing was wrong" and proceeded to give me a sandwich only (when i had ordered an entire meal).
i totallly flipped out, dropped the F-bomb a few times and called him an asshole. if someone had taped the last minute of our interaction, i'm sure i would have been a youtube sensation.
anyhow, there's not enough evidence here to conclude that she's a crazy bitch. whatever... what if she was having a brief conversation on the phone and some asshole employee decides to go on a power trip and kick her off the train for some reason? who knows??
Who ever it was that captured the video stated that she was cursing and being loud on her phone and the train personnel asked politely not to do that anymore.
Can't the video at work. Is it another one of those chick fight videos?
She's so 'well educated' that she listed NYU on her linkedin profile three times... http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:a8vkuHtx0dsJ:www.l…+Raju&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&source=www.google.com
Is she still employed at BNP?
Perhaps not? I think she's in damage control mode.
Wow, blatantly spoiled and full of herself. If I were on that train I would have punched her 'well-educated' brains out.
She needs a Good spanking. Little entitled well educated baby.
Profile says she was an intern last year not that she is employed now.
Profile also says she's at NYU three separate times.

UFO I can't believe they put up a Public Figure page on her already. The internet is scary-fast these days. The comments on the page are hilarious.
I wonder how she feels right now? Like a hoodlum I would imagine.
hahaha oh man, nice find
I have a lot of respect for NYU, but since when did going to Stern make you "well educated". Her resume is rather weak also.
I would have told her to shut the fuck up. Always amazes me how people don't say anything.
With that said, I have raged out many a time. Kind of sad that this chicks life is screwed in the near term because of some pussy with an Iphone.
I bet you find her pretty ANT.
And yes, I was totally shocked by the anti-Indian sentiment on Dealbreaker.
Haha , yes she is pretty. I didn't think she was Indian until the uproar happened. People are rather bigoted and ignorant. That is what being anonymous on the Internet will do.
I'm not.
Acceptable Ethnic/Demographic Targets according to PC zeitgeist: Indians, East Asians, whites, men, U.S. southerners Not acceptable: Blacks, Latinos, Women
What is exactly going on there? I'm kinda with alex to where i don't think this is enough to make a character judgement. It looks like someone called security on her and accused her of putting hands on her and cursing, and Hermione is trying to awkwardly defend herself by mentioning her education. Under certain circumstances it might make sense that she would get bent out of shape, without being an obnoxious bitch otherwise. I mean if you were just minding your own business, and some homeless dude brought a cop to you and said that you stole money out of his begging hat or whatever, wouldn't you be like: Are you serious? I work at an i-bank, i make more than 100k a year, why would i steal from a homeless dude?
I wouldn't trust the words of whomever captured the video, because i am very surprised that they wouldn't record the video from the moment security first showed up, and instead supposedly started recording it from the moment it is shown. I'm gonna guess that the beginning footage has been for some reason edited, the reason being that it is inconsistent with the video recorder's story.
Some guys on Dealbreaker made a point about Indians in finance. They are often insecure due to the caste system etc and are rarely subtle about their upbringing/education/wealth, there may be some truth in it but I am not sure. The comment got something like 50 upvotes so he can't be the only person who thinks this.
...
Wow, so it looks like high school students not only frequent WSO, but also Dealbreaker.
Anonymity really makes people act like fucking morons.
What does she do now anyway? Did she take it down or is she unemployed?
From Dealbreaker: "UPDATE: According to a spokeswoman for BNP, Raju is no longer associated with the firm."
http://dealbreaker.com/2011/06/well-educated-bnp-paribas-employee-will-…
Wait, what school did she attend?
Let this be a lesson to everyone. A video, taken out of context, showing you disagree withough committing any crime, can be posted online by an anonymous person and get you fired.
Total bullshit.
Must agree with ANT here. Even if she was in the wrong here (I'm still not convinced that she is...), people have bad days and say stupid shit sometimes.
Jesus Christ we ALL do it. It's not like she sent a retarded email to a bunch of friends or posted some racist rant on youtube. She was SECRETLY taped... honestly the dude who posted the video should be held liable for slander. This could happen to any of you.
She was fired apparently.
LOL. The Internet metes out some rough justice.
It's like when you pissed yourself in 2nd grade and a few of the other kids saw it and called you "piss-pants" until middle school. Only now those few other kids are the entire fucking world, and you're branded for the remainder of your miserable existence.
Gotta bring your A game, bitches.
cache of her linked profile, eh she went 2 NYU not Stern, NYU Steinhert school is pretty easy 2 get into from what i've heard..
http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:a8vkuHtx0dsJ:www.l…%BB%BF+Raju&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&source=www.google.com
Wow, she made the front page of Yahoo; slow news day: http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_thelookout/20110617/us_yblog_thelookout/w…
i dont think she was fired. can you even be fired for something like this, if it happens outside of work and doesnt directly influence your performance? i hope not
her bnp gig was an internship a year ago.
The french banks take on long term experienced interns as cheap labour so I am not sure if she was still with them (ie fired) or if it had just ended. According to Dealbreaker she is no longer with the firm.
best line
After the altercation, the conductor came on the loudspeaker and reminded people to keep conversations quiet, "especially those people who went to Harvard or Yale or are from Westport."
i thought she looked rather donkey-ish
She was being crass, big fucking deal, that should have been the end of it. This whole internet thing is getting out of hand, no one can do anything anymore.
Exactly. Everyone has moments that they are not proud of and I'm sure all of us have had public meltdowns. Although her arrogance is indefensible, this social media shit is going out of hand. I mean there is not privacy anymore. Just look at the Vancouver rioters (again indefensible), they were easily identified by using social media.
There is really no privacy anymore. Aren't there laws that punish people like the cameraman in this case?
And I agree with some of the posters above. It is unfair to judge her on the basis of this. I hope she doesn't have to suffer much and the guy who shot this goes to jail.
Really? For what?
I forget what cops use to arrest people who video tape them in action. In the police situation I believe that the public should be able to tape them because of their job and nature of work. I don't think random strangers should be taping and posting stuff that ruins lives.
Really touchy subject. Not sure if/how you can prevent this, but I would like to see this dissuaded.
agreed
Well. The Internet works both ways. Here's the video of the train employee at her previous job:

Hahaha...good one argo
haha it's pretty funny. I like the fact she that claims to be well educated and yet becomes emotional about being kicked off a train and in the process becoming a public and internet spectacle, Yep she's soooo educated.
So someone was kicked off a train for cursing loudly somewhere in the northeast United States? It's like being kicked off a train in the northeast United States for being classless, rude, unattractive and un-American: you'd think virtually the entire populace would be guilty.
Nobody watched my video :( Y'all are missing out
What's the most shocking to me is that even being thousands of miles away, I now know that this girl was kicked off the bus. I have no real reason to know about this, but I do.
Forget about the girl and her pretentiousness... Just marvel in the fact that before this morning none of us even knew she existed and now we can all carry on lengthy discussions about her behavior, background, possible dating habits, employability and her education because that's apparently all she cared enough to talk about.
She's more then likely going to get interviewed on some talkshow, then given a book deal and a reality TV show.
!
Agree with ANT. If people had heard/seen some of the shit I've said to cellphone and cable companies over the years I would be in an institution.
Sure, she says she's highly educated (and I'm sure she is with three degrees from NYU), but that isn't anything that no one else would do. This pales in comparison to the Chiangs and Vayners of the world. She's a spoiled brat, that's all.
I wonder tho how people were able to identify her so quickly.
Where's the fucking video? I wanna see this!
http://www.youtube.com/embed/m1aOu-b-Yck
Granted her mention of her education was obnoxious, as was her voice, but she didn't bring it up in the context of oh, I'm so special, bow down to me, she was saying that the words train employee was accusing her of are not even in her dictionary, because she is very well educated (and thus wouldn't be using such language)
Also obviously whatever her supposed "belligerent behavior" was before, it didn't upset the fellow passenger, who didn't get up and leave until the train employee started waving her arms around.
Easy, did you notice she was female? (or at least I thought she was) Throws your little theory right out of the window
Wow...brutal day for her. Granted she was definitely being a bitch and obviously embarrassed herself with the educational comments, but she did not insult the conductor nor was she even yelling
I think it's terrible, ridiculous and unwarranted that BNP fired her for this (if she was fired, vs the regular expiration of her internship as others have suggested above), all based on a random person's cell phone video which doesn't even show the actions that the conductor was accusing her of.
Again, if fired, I hope she wins a settlement.
