What Is The Average Wait time to Sit in Limbo?
I've applied for an entry position at a BB to do ER and haven't heard anything. I applied as soon as the job was posted almost 4 weeks ago and my status page for the application has been sitting in "Review" for over 3 weeks.
Just wondering what your experiences have been with waiting to hear from a recruiter or getting the "not interested" email? Is it normal to take so long?
It can range from the day after you apply to not getting one at all, even after the job is closed. You can either follow up directly or keep waiting and checking the status page.
Thanks for the insight! I tried emailing and calling but was told I couldn't be placed in touch with a specific person unless I had their extension. I was simply told my résumé and application had been received and are being reviewed. Guess I'll keep waiting!
You need to try and network. Submitting application and resume online is like going to a bar to pick up a girl and standing there waiting for one to ask you to go home with her.
You need to find someone in that bank that is a part of your network and get yourself in front of them ASAP.
Spot-on.
Thanks man. I've done some, not enough. Any tips for getting in front of someone if it's a new team in the office? I don't believe anyone is in the office yet. Never really run into this potential situation. Thanks again.
