What job(s) have the lowest effort:earning ratio?

As someone who strives for maximum efficiency, I find it difficult not to notice people in jobs/gigs that offer amazing payouts for relatively little input. Think of it as jobs with the highest dollar payout per unit worked. "Unit" may include (but isn't limited) to one's time, physical exertion, mental stamina requirements, commitment expectation, etc.

A few that come to mind (but are often overlooked): - toll booth operator. minimal mental effort. the six-figure salaries are NOT myths, but fairly common. - mid tier to high-end escorts/sugarbabies. a few thousand $ / night to act as arm candy isn't so bad. - housewife. a girl's appearance are free, "god given" units. occasional kids to soccer practice / cooking.
- university endowment managers. granted, input (time) is not insignificant. but obscene payouts.

If people consider this mindset to be "lazy" and "not hardworking", then so be it. The one regret you never hear on deathbeds is "I just wished I spent more time at the office."

Feel free to share your observations. Try to refrain from anecdotal, one-off examples, such as "that one guy in the corner office who never does shit but somehow gets by." We're talking actual jobs/gigs.

hedge fund advisory board (although very steep barrier-to-entry). i'd imagine that this just depends on the individual and how much time they want to put into it, but i've definitely heard of high-profile people sitting on boards, getting paid a ton, and doing basically nothing.

Being on the Board of Directors for a fund/company. I know someone who makes $50K for 4 days of work per year (Quarterly meetings). Of course positioning yourself to be of value and eligible for a board seat takes a lot of effort and is very variable. This isn't really a career option, rather a means to live comfortably at the end of your career/ into retirement.

Yeah the Board of Enron basically did nothing as well.
