What to do with Life?

hi i'm a senior at a canadian school. my gpa sucks. but more importantly i have absolutely no job experience. and i've never taken any business classes(except for a C+ in accounting in freshman yr). i've been very much a premed. i've done some math(ode, vector calc, prob&statistics, withdrew from analysis) but didnt do too well in it. i think that medicine would be a nice career. but i might also like other careers. i just know i wouldnt make a good lawyer or professor.
so i'm considering doing a funded m.s. program in biology before applying to med school, but perhaps i could switch into another field like banking?? i just want to do m.s. so i could live off a stipend(and not my parents' handouts) and so i could have more time to think whether i really should go into medicine. but i came to this forum to ask if i have any chance at banking/consulting? is it really competitive or not?

the thing is that i am russian and my dream job would be anything that paid at least 50k/yr in russia. then i could date hot girls and go on vacation to turkey or greece. in usa i could only get that lifestyle as a doctor after completing residency, i would have grey hair by then. but i'm afraid i would fail out of medical school (i hate homework).

so please tell me if i should even concern myself with banking/consulting, or forget it? btw, my personality sucks, i'm not outgoing, not much of a salesmen, etc.
thanks

You sound like a great fit for banking.

Don't get so down about your grades, they are not really that important in this career. It's much more about personality, which you have in spades. I especially relate to the comment about hot girls. I think all bankers are the same, no one wants grey hair or ugly girls.

One concern I do have: you sound very well suited to becoming a professor. I would hesitate to push banking too hard if you would quickly become intellectually stifled and perhaps disillusioned with the vocation. Do explore academia before deciding, as no one wants to see you waste your time or effort.

With that aside, I would recommend a bulge bracket firm. In particular I believe you would be well suited to Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs or Banc of America (BoA). I emphasise BoA for a few reasons. Firstly, I believe you are a strong candidate therefore you must go to a tier 1 BB. Secondly, BoA has a strong reputation, the prestige will go a long way in Russia (especially with the ladies). Thirdly, exit options are very strong (mega-PE funds, 9-5 corp dev etc.) Lastly, I happen to know their are a few lateral positions opening up in the next week or two.

Don't be discouraged by the haters, they are just trying to inflate their own ego. Hit up BoA ASAP. PM me if you need a contact on the inside.

Also, when you land an interview (which you clearly will with your credentials) do not, I repeat DO NOT answer their questions. You have to show them who the alpha male is. Its all about who is top dog, and if you lower yourself to answering their questions then you have become their bitch. Instead, when they ask you a question say, "Thats a dumb questions and you are wasting my intellect. I have some worthwhile questions to ask you. How many vacation days do I get a year and will the firm pay for my stripper addiction." That shows both that you are top dog and that you have a pair. And if it seems like they still do not think you have a pair, its best just to show them right there in the interview. Best of luck, though you clearly will not need it.

And yes, I know this whole thread was started a joke, I do not need anyone to clarify.
