I'm from Europe and doing an internship in NYC, and the thing is I'm only 20. The other interns have snuck me in when we got drinks, but eventually I'd like to get a fake ID (the internship lasting 6 months).
Who do I go to get a fake ID? I imagine this is pretty common inside the US with insane drinking age. Is there like a local fake ID dealer? What's his address?

I don't even plan on drinking so much. If I get in, I can just get a coke anyways, but the problem is US bars bar entry to anyone under 21, even if you're not going to be drinking.
Go to smoke shops on McDougal and West 4th, They might not be great but it is something.

Befriend someone who works at a bar or liquor store. They have a stack of fakes they've confiscated. Find one that looks like you.
So you recommend him getting a fake ID that has failed in the past and been confiscated...
Some of those fakes are very very good. My roommate in college worked a liquor store and while some of the IDs were garbage out of Kinkos laminating machine, others were legit and even swiped correctly.
Some of the pipsqueaks that came in were so nervous about handing the minted glossy brand new bunk ID over that it was obvious something was up. Many just ran out of the store upon any sort of questioning about said town on said ID. He said it was amusing. In the back office they had a wall of fake IDs.
I'd recommend going to 100 Centre St. and asking.
Realistically, way back when W. 4th used to be the best bet, but this was in the pre-9/11 days.
Bouncers don't give a fuck if you're actually 21, all they care about is covering their own ass. That means you need a real id that looks like you, and by "looks like you" I mean the same race and gender. At the kind of shitty bars that interns go to, the bouncer is gonna scan the id, look at you, then say okay.
