Why compliance is a much better start for all the investment bankers wanna be ?
I think many people graduate and wait for the IB role, however many waste so much time before they can realize not everyone will make it into IB so it’s really beneficial to see your other options and be realistic.

Some people watch the wolf of wall st and think that's investment banking and they wanna do it, others read a few posts here and think people act this way at work. That's just an illusion. People need to manage their expectations and see their options. Also people here should slow down a little with the BS on the life they live as IB which in most cases not true, it's a job like any other job
I think its a pretty narrow view that, so many people are choosing their careers based on Hollywood. Also, no one would just be able to watch the wolf of wall street and then break into banking. The candidate pool is to competitive.
