Why derivatives traders make less than traders?
Hi,
Looking at Glassdoor salaries I see that traders make more money (base salary and bonus) than derivatives traders (vol traders). So I wanted to ask why is that? I thought I was the opposite as the second one requires more specific skills.
Thanks
Stop looking at glassdoor that was your first mistake. Half of those salaries aren't even with typical bonuses.
this
guys who make the big bucks don't bother with salary sites....so you only get the losers data
Glassdoor is one of the worst source for salary benchmark.
Thanks for the replies. I tought that glassdoor was not a goodbenchmark, but with so many salaries reported for single jobs (in famous places like Jump Trading, Citadel, Two Sigma) it might be a nice reference.
