will the media stfu about the kid who got into all the ivys
he plays the violin? oh realllly, please tell me more about him npr, what kind of cereal does he eat for breakfast?
how many kids each year apply to all the ivy's just to see if they'll get accepted to all? i'm sure he can't be the first, but he sure became the media's little darling, why?
and no, i'm not "jelly"
I'm glad I don't watch enough TV for this to concern me.
u mad bro?
nahujelly
umirin bro?
I think that's the key... how many kids actually apply to all of the Ivy schools? And just because a school is or isn't Ivy doesn't really mean anything. He said he wants to go into medicine... shouldn't he be trying to get into Johns Hopkins, Stanford or Duke in addition to Harvard, Penn, and Columbia? I haven't researched it, but I highly doubt the Ivys retain most of the top med school positions... what a waste of admissions fees.
most of the top students didn't apply to all the ives (back when i was applying), they'd get into harvard or wharton or mit or stanford or whatver early action and then only apply to one or two more schools (if any)
but we all know there are kids out there who do it just to do it
maybe i'm just more surprised this doesn't happen more often
at least he'll have a good talking point in his interviews
Well, speaking of interviews, now all you'll have to do is Google his name and immediately you can find out that he got into all the Ivys. People will form their own opinion about applying to all of them, but it is still free publicity for the kid.
black
Yea: not valedictorian or salutatorian, sub-2300 SAT, black. Reaks of affirmative action.
The cardinal unspoken rule.
Why do you care?
David Aames- "I'm tired of hearing about this in the media"
decides to make a topic about it on a form of media for more people to hear about the kid
I've heard a lot of people get offended over the African vs. African-American topic that this raised.
Didn't follow it at all, what's the issue there?
Kid in my high school class got into all the Ivies - now at Harvard. Don't really see what the big deal is.
