Would population decline mean the end of finance?

It seems that many scientists are predicting that the human population worldwide will level off at 9-11 billion and will decline. We can already see the population aging and decline in Europe and East Asian. Since the world economy and finance industry is based on continued growth, wouldn't this mean that our industry will shrink in the future? There can't be anymore long-only strategies in HF except for geriatric related companies in the future right?
