Reference Check @ MBB -- Please Help!

Hi guys,

Just got an offer at one of the MBB in Dallas. Yay!

But I now have a small worry -- in one of my older jobs (3+ yrs ago), I accidently put the wrong title for the position.

Instead of research assistant, I put research associate. At this old job, titles weren't used, and I had assumed that the technical title was associate. I found out when I was touching bases with HR to give them a heads-up that they be contacted to confirm my employment history. The kicker is, there is no research associate position. It goes assistant > analyst.

I have had other jobs since, and the issue has never come-up, but I'm worried that the MBB have far more intense background screens.

Do you think this will be a non-issue? Should I give the firm a heads-up? Should I just wait and see what happens?

Also, if this discrepancy were to come-up, would it be a deal-breaker or would the firm give me an opportunity to address the issue?

Note: there was no intention to deceive, and the rest of the resume is meticulously accurate. No-rounding, all the dates precise. No exaggerations.
