In a short simulated test I got 450-490. More than a year later in an official practice test I got 600. Then I started studying and three months later in the actual test I got 690. Wasn't good enough though.

First practice - 580

Studied for the month, took my first and only official test at 740 and sent it off

Blind test (no study, didn't even know length of the test) of the official GMAT practice: 650

1 month of studying about 7 hr/week

Official GMAT practice (one day before actual exam): 790

GMAT: 740

Practiced with GMAT club questions and a question bank from a local GMAT school in my city, which was surprisingly similar to actual GMAT. Kind of feel I could have done better but still very satisfied
